Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (Agency) to provide high-quality patient care across various healthcare settings. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering essential nursing services, ensuring patient safety, and supporting the overall wellbeing of individuals under their care. This role offers flexible agency shifts, allowing you to work in diverse environments while maintaining professional standards.

Duties

• Deliver comprehensive patient care in accordance with medical protocols and organisational policies
• Administer medications accurately and safely, monitoring for adverse reactions
• Assess patient conditions through thorough examinations and observations
• Assist with diagnostic procedures and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of patient records and treatment plans
• Educate patients and their families on health management, medication use, and post-discharge care

Requirements

• Valid registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) in the UK

• Able to provide a minimum of 2 References including your Most Recent Employer
• Have a clean Enhanced DBS
• Have experience working as a Nurse in the UK within the last 12 months
• Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology
• Proficiency in medication administration and understanding of pharmacology principles
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively

The Role – What You Will Be Doing

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will support residents with their day-to-day needs, helping them maintain their independence, comfort and quality of life. You may work with older adults and individuals living with dementia, physical disabilities or other care needs, depending on the placement.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Personal care: Assisting residents with washing, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and other personal hygiene needs while maintaining their dignity and privacy.

• Mobility and moving and handling: Supporting residents with mobility, transfers and repositioning in accordance with their individual care plans and moving-and-handling procedures.

• Nutrition and hydration: Assisting residents with meals and drinks, monitoring their intake where required and supporting individual dietary needs.

• Person-centred care: Following individual care plans and adapting your approach to meet residents' personal preferences, needs and abilities.

• Dementia and emotional support: Providing reassurance, companionship and compassionate support to residents who may be experiencing confusion, anxiety or distress.

• Monitoring wellbeing: Observing residents for changes in their physical or emotional condition and promptly reporting concerns to the appropriate senior member of staff.

• Record keeping: Completing care records accurately and reporting relevant information in accordance with the home's procedures.

Essential Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Minimum six months' relevant UK healthcare experience, ideally within a care home, nursing home or another relevant health and social care setting.

• A valid right to work in the UK.

• Good spoken and written communication skills.

• A compassionate, patient and respectful approach to care.

• An understanding of confidentiality, safeguarding, infection control and the importance of person-centred care.

• The ability to follow care plans, instructions and workplace policies.

• Reliability, punctuality and a professional attitude.

• The ability to work independently when appropriate and as part of a wider care team.

• A willingness to travel to placements in Rhyl and the surrounding areas, in line with available shifts and agreed travel arrangements.

• Flexibility to work across different care homes and adapt to varying resident needs and working environments.

• A willingness to complete all required onboarding, compliance checks and mandatory training before commencing work.

Previous experience supporting individuals with dementia, mobility needs or complex care requirements is beneficial, although the specific experience required may vary depending on the placement.

Compliance and Training
